Frigidaire shows DI SP and sounds a tone when ice sits in the dispenser chute for too long. Open the door and clear any cubes from the chute by hand or with a plastic utensil. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Why does my Frigidaire beep and show DI SP after a power outage? During an outage the cubes in the bin partly melt, then freeze together around the auger once power returns. The jammed ice sets off DI SP until the bin is thawed and emptied. ### Is DISP on my Frigidaire the same as DI SP? Yes. Frigidaire writes the code both ways and gives it one meaning: ice jammed in the chute. ### How can I stop DI SP from coming back on my Frigidaire? Use the dispenser now and then, or empty the bin if you rarely take ice, since cubes left sitting fuse together. Frigidaire names infrequent use as one of the causes. --- **[Read on the site: Frigidaire DI SP with a tone at the ice chute](https://icemakerrepair.center/error-codes/frigidaire-di-sp/)** **[Book a visit with IceMakerRepair.center](https://icemakerrepair.center/schedule/)**
