Remove the ice bin and fill the reservoir with drinking water up to the Max Fill line. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Why does my Opal say Add Water when the side tank is full? Water may not be flowing from the tank. GE's manual says bubbles can form in the connecting tube when it is not lying flat, so adjust the tube until water moves. ### What water should go in an Opal reservoir? Drinking water only, filled to the Max Fill line. GE also says the water hardness must be less than 12 grains per gallon. ### Does the Opal need a water line to stop the Add Water message?
