LG links gF to its flow sensor, which measures how much water reaches the ice maker, or to low water pressure. A misreading sensor can overfill the ice maker, while low pressure gives small cubes or none. LG ice maker display · also shown as Er gF What to do when gF shows on the ice maker ### Kind of code Water supply and fill The ice maker asked for water and got too little, too slowly or none at all, or water kept arriving after the fill should have ended. A closed shutoff, a kinked line, a clogged filter and low house pressure are ruled out before the water inlet valve is replaced or the fill tube is thawed. If water is on the floor, close the supply valve before reading anything on the display. ### Usually leads to Ice maker water inlet valve repair The electric valve that lets water into the ice maker, tested and replaced when it will not open, opens only partway, or keeps dripping after it should have closed. ### Shows up as No Ice Coming From the Ice Maker The mold sits empty or holds one frozen batch that never drops, the bin stays bare for days, and the dispenser gives water as usual: an ice maker not making ice while the rest of the appliance carries on normally. ### Make LG LG ice maker repair, from a door ice maker that frosts over to a dispenser that stops. ### Source LG error code list (Wayback, 17 Jan 2025) LG models with a flow sensor on the water line. ## Before you book, in this order. Make sure the supply valve behind the unit is fully open and the line is not kinked. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Why is my LG ice maker overflowing with gF on the display? LG says an overfilling ice maker can mean the flow sensor is misreading the water going in. Turn the ice maker off and close the valve until it is checked. ### What water pressure does an LG gF code point to? LG only says the pressure may be low and suggests raising it. A half-closed valve, a kinked line or a clogged filter are the usual culprits in a home. ### Can a new filter clear LG gF? It can help if the old filter was restricting flow. If gF stays after a new filter and full pressure, the flow sensor needs testing. --- **[Read on the site: LG gF: water flow to the ice maker | IceMakerRepair.center](https://icemakerrepair.center/error-codes/lg-gf/)** **[Book a visit with IceMakerRepair.center](https://icemakerrepair.center/schedule/)**
