Monogram models with electronic dispenser controls share GE Appliances' code list, where CI is the prompt to check the ice maker. On a Monogram built-in side-by-side the ice maker sits under an access door in the freezer, above the ice storage bin. Monogram ice maker display What to do when CI shows on the ice maker ### Kind of code Ice making and harvest The ice maker froze a batch and could not release it, or the harvest never started: the ejector arm or the twisting tray stalled, the mold heater did not loosen the cubes, or the arm that senses a full bin reported the wrong thing. Ice jammed against the arm and a bin pushed in crooked are cleared first; a motor module or a whole ice maker assembly comes after. ### Usually leads to Ice maker assembly replacement A new ice maker module fitted in the freezer compartment or the door compartment, after the water, the temperature and the bin sensor have been proved good, so the new part is not blamed for an old problem. ### Shows up as No Ice Coming From the Ice Maker The mold sits empty or holds one frozen batch that never drops, the bin stays bare for days, and the dispenser gives water as usual: an ice maker not making ice while the rest of the appliance carries on normally. ### Make Monogram Monogram ice maker service, built-in and undercounter, including drain and cleaning work. ### Source GE Appliances support: refrigerator error and function code list (contentId 16912) Monogram built-in models with electronic dispenser controls. ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from Monogram's own guidance for CI on its ice makers. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Lift the access door above the ice storage bin and look for cubes stuck to the feeler arm. 02 Check the ice maker power switch is set to I (on). 03 Reset by disconnecting power for a minute or two, then allow time for new cubes. 04 If CI stays or reappears, book a visit. ### Still there? It usually turns into [ice maker assembly replacement](https://icemakerrepair.center/services/ice-maker-assembly-replacement/). Book with the code and the model number. ### What not to do CI does not mean the freezer is too warm or that power was lost; other codes cover those. It does not tell which ice maker part failed. ## What you may notice with it. The ice maker problems CI tends to arrive with. Answer these at the ice maker before anyone is booked. Lift the access door above the ice storage bin and look for cubes stuck to the feeler arm. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Where do I look first when a Monogram built-in shows CI? Lift the access door above the storage bin and look at the ice maker, its power switch and the feeler arm. ### Can cubes frozen to the feeler arm cause CI on a Monogram? They can stop production. Monogram's manual lists cubes frozen to the feeler arm as a reason the dispenser stops, and removing them is the fix. ### Is CI on a Monogram a reason to empty the freezer? No. CI is about the ice maker, not freezer temperature. --- **[Read on the site: Monogram CI shown on the dispenser control](https://icemakerrepair.center/error-codes/monogram-ci/)** **[Book a visit with IceMakerRepair.center](https://icemakerrepair.center/schedule/)**
