Glass towers full of leased units whose ice makers are the property of absentee owners, building rules often ask for the water to be shut off while the unit sits empty, and a management company books the repair around the freight elevator. ## What Brickell does to an ice maker. Brickell was once Miami's 'Millionaire's Row' of mansions along Brickell Avenue, which office towers, hotels and apartments began replacing in the 1970s. It is now a dense neighborhood of luxury condominium and apartment towers, including the Four Seasons Hotel and Tower, formerly Florida's tallest building. Miami-Dade Water and Sewer has announced a two-week change of disinfection method, Sept. 28 through Oct. 11, during which customers may notice a chlorine taste or smell. [All of Miami / South Florida](https://icemakerrepair.center/locations/south-florida/) ### Tower living A leak from an ice maker on the twentieth floor does not stay on the twentieth floor: it finds the slab and the ceiling below, which is why many condo associations ask owners to close the ice maker's supply valve before they travel. ### Small kitchens and bars Small kitchens rarely have a floor drain or a spare sink tailpiece near an undercounter spot, so a compact ice maker there usually lifts its melt water to the sink with a drain pump, and a pump that quits leaves water pooling in the cabinet base. ### Designed kitchens and bars A clear-ice undercounter maker chosen for a designed kitchen builds its cubes by running water over a chilled plate or grid, and that surface scales quickly, so owners who bought crystal-clear ice see cloudiness first and a descaling on schedule keeps the look. ## A visit in Brickell.
