Frigidaire shows DI SP and sounds a tone when ice sits in the dispenser chute for too long. Frigidaire traces it to cubes that melted and refroze around the auger after little use, a power outage or temperature swings, or cubes wedged between the ice maker and the back of the bin.

The dispenser was asked for ice and could not deliver it: the auger motor stalled against a frozen block, the flap at the bottom of the chute stayed shut, or the paddle switch never told the control it was pressed. Emptying the bin and thawing the chute come before the auger motor, the door flap solenoid or the switch is replaced.

Take out the ice bin, let the ice thaw, empty it, wash and dry the bin and put it back fully.
