Samsung lists 39E, and 39C on some displays, as an Ice Maker Function problem. The control has watched the ice maker try to work and found that the mechanism did not do its job, for example a tray that did not turn or a harvest that did not finish.

The ice maker froze a batch and could not release it, or the harvest never started: the ejector arm or the twisting tray stalled, the mold heater did not loosen the cubes, or the arm that senses a full bin reported the wrong thing. Ice jammed against the arm and a bin pushed in crooked are cleared first; a motor module or a whole ice maker assembly comes after.
