What is particular
to Fulgor Milano.

Ice makers appear in the 18-, 24- and 30-inch freezer columns, the 36-inch built-in bottom-mount units (F7IBM36O2, F7PBM36S2) and the 36-inch French door (F6FBM36S1 and S2). The columns and bottom-mount units use a touch menu, while the French door uses a six-key panel with an Ice Off icon.

Ice only in freezer mode

On the 36-inch built-in bottom-mount units the ice maker sits in the Fresh Zone drawer and works only while that drawer is set to Freezer Mode. Switch the drawer to a chilling setting and ice simply stops, with no message on the display.

A cleaning cycle in the menu

The freezer columns carry a Manual Clean function that flushes water through the ice maker and then asks you to empty the ice bin. Fulgor recommends it on first use, after a long idle stretch and after a new filter, and it is our first suggestion when ice tastes stale.

A filter reminder you turn on

The column's filter reminder stays off until the owner activates it; after that it counts down a year and shows Replace filter when 30 percent of the filter's capacity is left. If it was never switched on, the prompt never comes.

Holiday stops the ice

Holiday mode on the columns switches the ice maker off, and Fast Ice raises output for 24 hours before shutting itself off. Cube size can be set to large or medium from the same ice maker menu.

Repair or replace

When a Fulgor Milano column stops making ice, the cause is almost always a setting, the filter, the valve or the ice maker assembly, and each can be changed without moving the unit out of its cabinetry. Replacement is worth a conversation only when the cooling itself has failed.

Why did the drawer ice maker on my Fulgor Milano stop after I changed the Fresh Zone setting?
On the 36-inch built-in bottom-mount units, Fulgor only lets the ice maker run while the Fresh Zone drawer is in Freezer Mode. Put the drawer back into Freezer Mode and give it time to get cold before expecting cubes.
How do I run the cleaning cycle on a Fulgor Milano freezer column ice maker?
Turn the ice maker off first, then start Manual Clean from the System Cleaning menu. When the display asks, empty the water from the ice bin and put it back; Fulgor says to repeat the cycle until that water comes out clean.
Where is the ice off control on the Fulgor Milano French door?
On the F6FBM36S1 it shares the freezer set button: holding it for 3 seconds turns the ice maker on or off, and an Ice Off icon stays lit while it is off. Fulgor also asks for Ice Off mode before the water filter or its bypass cover is removed.
How often should the ice bin on a Fulgor Milano column be emptied?
If you do not use much ice, Fulgor suggests emptying the bin every 8 to 10 days. Older cubes stick together, turn opaque, shrink and pick up a flat taste.
