What is particular

Maytag ice comes from ceiling or door ice makers on French door models, freezer ice makers with a wire arm, and an undercounter unit covered by its help pages. Style 1 and Style 2 layouts use different on/off controls.

Maytag advises against feeding the ice maker softened water, because softener chemicals such as salt can damage ice maker parts and spoil the ice.

Filter status by color

Maytag's status light shows Order in yellow and Replace in red, and Replace plus --% remaining means the filter is not detected. Closing the filter door resets it after a change.
